New people, who want to learn to speak English, always think about their accent, they would like to choose an accent but they don’t know which one.<br />
The accent is the last thing you should worry about, it’s less important, at first you should begin to worry about speaking, not about you accent.<br />
Once your level of English improves, and you can understand native speakers, and they can understand you, you can think about an accent to choose.<br />
At first you should just have a clear accent, but later if you want to improve you speaking skills, think about your accent.<br />
To help you there is a book about accent which is the my favorite, it is called “American accent training”<br />
“American accent training” is a book with 5 CD, it can help you to have an American accent.<br />
If you would like to have “American accent training”, just enter in google: “American accent training” with the quotations and you’ll find it.<br />
“American accent training” is known as the best book that helps you sound American.<br />
“American accent training” focuses especially on the intonation, not on individual words and that’s what makes it powerful.<br />
I recommend “American accent training” for you because I’ve already recommended it to more than one of my students and their accent improved.<br />
There is only one inconvenient, “American accent training” is boring; you should finish it as soon as possible, and once you finish it repeat it from the beginning. Repeat reading “American accent training” as much as you can to improve more and more.<br />
“American accent training” is good for you for speaking, but when you listen you should listen to only one accent at the beginning or even one person, and once you become comfortable you can listen to different accents in order to know as many accents as possible.<br />

Vocabulary without memorizing

In the previous article, I talked about learning vocabulary without trying to memorize it. In this article, we are going to explain more this idea.<br />
Now, failing methods are known, because students have tried them, which is not know is the successful method, only few students know it.<br />
While there are a lot of failing methods, there is only ONE successful method, if you try to modify it, it becomes less successful, so let’s talk about it now:<br />
Students who write a list full of new words, and try to memorize every word, are doing nothing! <br />
Actually, even if they could remember all of the words, they couldn’t use them is a real conversation. When they take a writing test, maybe it’s true to answer correctly, but in a real conversation, you don’t have time to think about your list. That’s the difference between written English and spoken English.<br />
So, what should you do to use new vocabulary in a real conversation? <br />
The question is not what to do to use them, but rather: how do you do to learn them correctly?<br />
If you would like to learn vocabulary and to use it in a real conversation, you should notice that the word “DEEP” is the answer!<br />
You should learn vocabulary deeply say that you learned it, it’s not enough to hear or to see a word just one time and then try to memorize it. To learn it deeply you should at least hear the word or read it 30 times or 50 times or even 100 times or more!!! That’s deep learning.<br />
If you find one word in more than 5 phrases, and to repeat those phrases for 100 times, it’s a given that you will learn this word deeply into your brain, you will never forget it!<br />
How can you learn deeply?<br />
Easy! I’m gonna give you some suggestions:<br />
- You should have a lot of repetitions<br />
- If you’re reading, read the same paragraph 50 times or more<br />
- If you’re listening, listen more than 50 times<br />
The best way to learn deeply is to listen to the same person, or to read from the same person, because each person has their own favorite vocabulary, and they use it everyday! <br />
For example, read my articles and you will notice that I only use few words not more than 500 or 1000 and I repeat them always.<br />
Another thing is to read novels, because novels are long, and you will find words more than one time!<br />

The Power Of Reading And Listening At The Same Time

Today, I’m going to talk about one of the best methods to learn to speak English in a fast way, I’m gonna talk about reading and listening in the same time.<br />
Students always think that complicated, boring and difficult methods are the best to learn English, the always think that they must suffer to learn, they always say: “no pain, no gain”.<br />
This has no meaning and has no relation with learning English or any other language!<br />
In fact, easy methods are the best and that’s our topic today:<br />
The research shows that when the student learns with easy methods and is having fun, he will learn 5 times faster than when he is getting bored and using hard methods!<br />
Students always want to take tests, but in fact tests are one of the reasons they can’t speak.<br />
When you are listening to English, always listen to understandable and easy English, it’s useless to listen to hard English when you can’t understand more than 90%.<br />
Yes, you should understand more than 90% of what you are listening to, or it’s useless.<br />
Also, when you listen you should read as you listen, it’s very powerful, and I’m going to illustrate this point:<br />
I said that tests are horrible, and when a student is listening to difficult English without reading, he is talking tests because he tries to understand everything, but he can only understand less than 90% or even less!<br />
When he find a word he can’t understand, he won’t  be able to hear it correctly, he won’t know if It’s one word or two words or even more, he won’t be able to memorize it, that’s why he needs  the spelling!<br />
And also, if he doesn’t understand more than 10%, and even if he can hear the words correctly, he won’t be able to memorize more than 10% it’s a lot. And even if he memorizes them, he will forget them quickly!<br />
That’s why I encourage my students to listen to easy English where they can understand more than 90% and read at the same time, even if it’s too easy.<br />
By listening and reading the new words (10%), you will be able to memorize them easily and in a powerful way.<br />
Because to memorize something, you need to act with it the maximum: for example, if you find a new word, you must hear it, see it, feel it, speak it, but never think about it or try to memorize it; all is gonna be done intuitively.<br />
How can I have a lot of vocabulary without trying to memorize words?? I would like to speak, so I need more vocabulary! What should I do??<br />

Never Study Grammar

In my last article I told you not to study grammar, but you don’t want to make grammar mistakes when you are speaking! <br />
In fact, by studying grammar you will make it harder for you to speak, because once you’re speaking you will think about grammar rules and this makes you very upset, and will also teach you to don’t speak unless your phrase is correct and this, of course, is the biggest mistake students do!<br />
Studying grammar is very dangerous; the right way to learn grammar is to choose a method where you learn it without studying it, because if you study it you will never learn it!<br />
Here, in this article, I will tell you about some of the right methods you can do to learn grammar easily and without studying it:<br />
First of all if you’re studying grammar right now, stop doing it, and wait for about 2 to 3 weeks before you start leaning with the right method.<br />
If you are joining an English school, you should stop immediately or go on with your school.<br />
Before beginning, I’m going to ask you a question: what kind of books do you read??<br />
Think about it in a few seconds or minutes and than go on reading.<br />
To make easier for you to answer I’m going to give you some choices: grammar books, stories, novels, stories for children, vocabulary books, newspapers …etc<br />
If your answer is one of these: grammar books, vocabulary books, my advice for you are to sell them to another person or throw them over the window.<br />
If your answer is newspapers: my advice for you is to keep them away from you for a moment (6 months at least)<br />
If your answer is novels, stories, stories for children: my advice is to continue reading them, they are great!<br />
Now, I am going to explain more about this situation:<br />
Grammar and vocabulary books are your enemy right now, you must learn to hate them as soon as possible, they both teach you to think ABOUT English Not to SPEAK English, and so they are useless!<br />
They also spend you a lot of time, without any improvement, and they are also school’s materials so they are not good! You should learn to hate them.<br />
Keep them away from you, don’t keep them in your house, and never again open a grammar book or vocabulary book, NEVER!<br />
Grammar books teach you to think about English, and vocabulary books tell you to memorize word lists, and you can never do this! <br />
In a real conversation (not in an exam or an E-mail or letter…etc) you don’t have the time to think about grammar rules or to remember words that’s why you need to learn them with a powerful method!<br />
Newspapers are good but they are too difficult for you right now, you will use your dictionary more than one time if you read them, they are also difficult for native speakers so keep them away from you until you learn basic vocabulary, and to speak without thinking and grammar rules without studying them.<br />
Finally, novels and stories are the best for you right now, they are easy to read so you don’t need a dictionary, even if there are some words you don’t now the meaning, you will understand them without using a dictionary and this helps you to get them deeper into your brain!<br />
Even if both novels and stories are great for learning without studying, I do recommend novels for many raisons: <br />
The first raison is because they are long, so, you read a difficult word more than one time, and this is a powerful way to learn vocabulary without memorizing, if you don’t understand a word just relax and continue reading without opening your dictionary, maybe the next time you will understand it.<br />
By seeing the same word in different phrases you will learn it deeper into your brain without the need of a dictionary and this is very powerful!<br />
Just because novels are long, you will get more familiar with the writer because each person has some words and repeats them. (Ex: read my articles and you will see that I have some words I repeat a lot, if you read a lot of my articles you will understand me 100%)<br />
If you like the novels you are reading you will not feel that you are studying, so you need to choose novels you like before starting to read.<br />
Farther in one of my articles, as a bonus, I’m going to give you some titles of great novels I recommend you to read, and I will even give you some chapters! I think you will enjoy them.<br />
Another thing why novels are great is because they use real English NOT textbook English, and that’s what you need to learn!<br />
You will read a lot of idioms, slangs, common phrases. In short: casual English!<br />
You need to begin with easy novels and than go step by step to more and more difficult novels to improve.<br />
So, without thinking that you are learning grammar or vocabulary, and having fun at the same time, you improve step by step to get to a great level in English!<br />
NEVER STUDY GRAMMAR is a long article, but I just talked about one method, in the next articles, I will tell you about some other methods even easier and more powerful!<br />
In this article, I just talked about reading novels; in the next articles you will see some miraculous methods!<br />
